Mary-Jane Newton was born in India and grew up in Germany. She is the author of a collection of poetry, Of Symbols Misused (published by Proverse in 2011), and her work has been published in numerous literary journals and anthologies internationally. She is the Publishing Manager at Macmillan Publishers China and currently resides in Hong Kong with her husband and daughter.
